Lilipu can be written perfectly using the Roman script, but there is an alternative way of writing Lilipu and that is with its syllabary. This syllabary is based on the old writing system, the Baybayin, of the Philippine language of Tagalog. When writing with the Lilipu syllabary, words run from left to right, top to bottom. Punctuation is mainly stylistic. Depending on the writer, the main "separator punctuation" can be a single bar | or a double bar ||. Words are separated by this separator punctuation and phrases are separated by a space between them. Or alternatively, words can be separated by space and phrases are separated by the separator punctuation. The syllabary is available in Unicode: U+1700 is 'a, U+1701 is 'i, and U+1702 is 'u. U+1703 is k, U+1709 is p, U+170B is m, U+170E is l, and U+170F is w (v). U+1712 is the i-dot, and U+1713 is the u-dot. Unicode fonts are available for this range. |
